The Critical Role of Pulp Density on Flotation

In nickel-copper sulfide ore processing, serpentine is a common gangue mineral encountered in complex sulfide ores and can easily cause entrainment during flotation [].Large amounts of serpentine This study aims to investigate the effects of operational variables on concentrate grade, recovery, separation efficiency, and kinetic parameters of the copper flotation process. For this purpose, the effects of the pulp solids content, collector and frother dosage, and preparation and concentrate collection time were studied using a Combined Effect of Operating Parameters on Separation

Selectively Depress Copper-Activated Pyrite in Copper Flotation

Copper sulphide ore deposits are of great economic significance for copper extraction. In order to enrich copper sulphides, froth flotation at alkaline pH is typically applied to reject associated gangue minerals, in particular pyrite before the subsequent pyrometallurgical treatment to extract copper from copper sulphides [].The 2,3-disulfanylbutanedioic acid (DMSA) was found to be a selective depressant in the flotation separation of copper– molybdenum sulfides. The flotation results suggest that a low dosage of DMSA has a strong depression effect on chalcopyrite in the pH range between 4 and 12. At pH 6, the recoveries of molybdenum are up to 85%,Effect of copper ions on the flotation separation of chalcopyrite

Porphyry copper deposits (PCDs) are some of the most important sources of copper (Cu) and molybdenum (Mo). Typically, the separation and recovery of chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) and molybdenite (MoS2), the major Cu and Mo minerals, respectively, in PCDs are achieved by two-step flotation involving (1) bulk flotation to separate Cu–Mo concentrates and The flotation separation of common copper-lead ore includes copper depression and lead flotation, or lead depression and copper flotation.
